Chapin’s 8706A hand crank turf spreader adjusts for seed, fertilizer and even ice melt applications. It’s lightweight, easy to hold and you can scoop your seed or fertilizer into the hopper, right from the bag. Use it for touch ups or around small areas where a larger spreader can't go. Durable poly hopper, trigger gate control, thumb gate adjustment and enclosed gears make this a great spreader to keep on-hand for all-season use. This unit not recommended for use with sand, sand mixes, lime, and pelletized lime mixes.
- 6-Liter hopper: poly hopper and you can use it as a scoop to fill the hopper
- Thumb-controlled gate adjustment: adjust the gate opening with one hand while cranking the handle with the other; you don’t need to stop and adjust the gate, you can just keep on walking and the impeller is designed to deliver an even spread pattern
- Large handle: easy to grip and fill with one hand; accommodates small and large-sized hands
- Poly construction: it’s lightweight and easy to clean; less metal means less wear and tear and corrosion
- Portable and made for small spaces: doesn’t take up much space and you can pull it out when you need it for touch ups and small patches of lawn and gardens
- Note: not recommended for use with rock salt, sand or sand mixes, lime, pelletized lime or lime mixes
