How to Fix a Sticking Pressure Switch

 Tools Needed

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • 4 mm Allen/hex wrench
  • Needle nose pliers

Loosen up screw on the collar on the bottom of your tank with a 4mm Allen/hex wrench

Remove collar and battery housing

Determine which of the two pumps you have (see images on left)

You should see 3 screws

Using a Phillips screwdriver, take out the two outer screws

Leave the middle screw alone

Determine which switch you have that is located in the cap you removed (see images at left)

Using your thumbs, push in and out on switch

This may be hard to push if sticking

Push in and out 8-10 times then reinstall

You may need needle nose pliers on the switch on the left to pull up due to sticking

Reassemble

Fill tank with only water and retry
